Fonimaghodoo island - Reethi Beach Resort

Personally, I think that the original name - Fonimaghodoo - is far cooler than the name of the resort. But on the other hand, Reethi Beach is very accurately named, because seldom will you find beaches as gorgeous as on this retreat. In addition the service is warm and personal and the food is great and varied. If you want some added value for your dollars, this is as good as it gets.

Candlelight dinner on the beach? - NO problem

Reethi Beach is a stunning resort in the Maldives which is located approximately 35 minutes north of Male by seaplane in the unspoilt Baa Atoll. It is just over 650 metres long and 200 metres wide and boasts a chilled atmosphere as well as excellent sports facilities and yummy food in several restaurants.

The resort has 100 rooms and there are 4 restaurants, with Rehendi the main one serving international cuisine in a buffet style. The other 3 serve international cuisine, grilled food and local Maldivian and Far Eastern food respectively.Don't miss a visit to Saima Garden, an intimate place on the beach with only five tables. The definition of Romantic. Better book even before you go if you want to be certain.

There resort offers three types of accommodation, the first is a standard room, this includes all the usual facilities such as air conditioning, ceiling fans, internet access, TV and a partially open air bathroom. The second type of room is the Deluxe which in addition to the facilities offered in the standard also has a sitting area and a Maldivian swing. There are also tea and coffee making facilities but these are charged at an additional cost. The third type is the Water Villa which sits on stilts over the water only a few minutes from the beach. If not luxurious, all accomodation is pristinely clean and comfortable and homey.

High class cuisine

There is a wealth of activities available at the Reethi Beach Maldives, these include Windsurfing, Sailing, rowing, watersking, parasailing, snorkelling and more. Depending on whether or not your holiday is an all inclusive trip, some activities may be free. If you prefer using the fitness club or to play tennis or squash then you can do this instead. This resort offers an amazing range of excursions for such a small island.

South end - world class beach indeed

There is a heavenly spa for those inclined. It is a beachfront Spa managed by the acclaimed Coconut Spa, where the highly skilled Balinese therapists offer a pampering experience tailored to meet the needs of the individual, including a variety of massages, body and hair treatments, pedicures, manicures, facials and spa packages. Spa facilities include air-conditioned ‘couples’ and ‘singles’ treatment rooms; ventilated thatch huts on the beach; Jacuzzi and steam room and a manicure and pedicure area plus a Spa boutique, selling a wide range of spa products.

Reethi Beach resort is perfect for honeymoons or those looking to get married in the beautiful Maldives Islands. For honeymooners or those wishing to renew their vows, you can expect special treatment from the hotel in the form of a celebration cake, a possible room upgrade, romantic candlelit dinner as well as a traditional message for the bride and groom and plenty of wine. If that wasn't enough, how about planting a wedding palm tree in your name? If you are a family and wish to book the Reethi Beach Maldives then the resort caters for those with young children. High chairs, cots and baby sitting can all be provided but do let the hotel know well in advance. If you do decide to go to RBR then there is no doubt that your holiday experience in the Maldives will certainly be an exceptional one. I am going myself in October 2012. And I can't wait! The level of service and kindness I experienced when booking RBR was wonderful. Such a friendly and kind welcome. I felt my holiday started there and then.
